A Grocery Storywas produced in the spring of 2005 as one of six graduate thesis films coming out of Florida State University Film School. The shooting schedule consisted of 8 days of principal photography in a working grocery store. Shooting took place exclusively at night, typically 9 PM to 9AM, as to minimize overlap with the hours of business.
The film
follows the accomplishments of "Leonard" as he attempts to win the
heart of a grocery store manager named "Tracy." A Grocery Story is shot on
16mm film and directed by John D'Arco.

The clip above features my character "Leonard" in a slump after being foiled time and again in his attempts to make "Tracy" (Alison Gallaher) fall in love with him. But with a little help from "Nicki" (Carlie Nettles) Leonard gets wind in his sails.
